The Shivas “Do The Crocodile”

Portland surf-rock band The Shivas released their fourth LP, You Know What To Do, on Tuesday (10/28) via K and on cassette via Burger Records. Just in time for Halloween, they’ve shared a creepy new video for the album’s first two tracks: the infectious “You Know What To Do” and instrumental cut “Do The Crocodile.” Full of unsettling imagery and haunting vignettes.

Olde Worlde’s “Thinking Of You” Video Appears

Olde Worlde’s (aka Sohhei Numata) debut North American release The Blue Musk-Oxen (out October 6) also has found viral success via his Spotify playlist. The site Playlists.net has featured his list (http://playlists.net/olde-worlde-playlist), which features tracks by a diverse collection of artists Feist, Ron Sexsmith, Cat Power, Royksopp and other influences. Olde Worlde’s varied musical interests are evident also on his recent acoustic track cover versions of Neil Young’s “Don’t Let It Bring You Down” and the Beastie Boys “Slow and Low”

Ayron Jones And The Way’s “My Love Remains” Video Airs

Ayron Jones and the Way have announced the release of their newest music video for their hit single, “My Love Remains.” The video was funded on Kickstarter, earning nearly $20,000, five thousand dollars above their goal. Sir Mix-a-Lot, responsible for discovering them after they had won a worldwide battle of the bands, makes a cameo in the video, and maintains close ties to the group. He produced their debut album Dream, which AJ and the Way are currently on tour to promote.

Invent, Animate To Play South By So What?!

The second batch of bands have been revealed for the eighth annual SOUTH BY SO WHAT?! music festival, which will be held at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie, TX. Tragic Hero Records metalcore band Invent, Animate will join over 100 bands from 3/20 – 3/22/15 for the event. Some of the other bands that have been announced are Motionless in White, Atreyu, We Came As Romans, and Invent, Animate’s fellow label-mates He Is Legend. More announcements coming 11/1, 12/2, and 12/15.
