Neil Young’s “Who’s Gonna Stand Up?” Released

The new song is featured on Young’s upcoming album, STOREYTONE, which will be released this November. Details to be revealed soon. The song was originally performed at a Crazy Horse shows U.K. this summer and more recently part of Young’s solo acoustic set at Farm Aid this past Sept 13th, at Walnut Creek Amphitheater in Raleigh North Carolina. The audience did indeed stand up and sing along in unison in support of the song’s plea to end our dependence of fossil fuels and realize our responsibility to protect our earth’s fragile eco systems to ensure the quality of life for future generations. Balmorhea 2007 Debut Reissued On Vinyl

For the past eight years the duo of Rob Lowe and Michael Muller have nurtured and refined their creative partnership as the core members of the band Balmorhea. Though their first album on Western Vinyl Rivers Arms (2008) garnered some remarkable press, their self-titled debut, recorded in 2006 and released in 2007 best captures the duo’s unique magic as it first blossomed. With no label, distributor, manager, publicist, or booking agent the duo quietly self-released their first recordings and started playing live shows.

Exit Verse Debut Album Out November 17th

Ernest Jenning Record Co. is proud to announce the debut self-titled full-length from Chicago’s Exit Verse, due on November 17, 2014. The group premiered the record’s first single, “Seeds,” via A.V. Club, who noted that “The track sees [Geoff] Farina guiding the band into some classic-rock territory with his stomping staccato riffs, but as it moves forward and reaches its ethereal apex it shows Farina’s ability to take something gut-level and make it heady, just like he did so well with Karate over a decade ago.”

Cloud Nothings’ Outer Space Remix Lands At Stereogum

Following the announcement that they will close out their 2014 with a third tour in both the United States and Europe, as well as their first of the year to Australia, Cloud Nothings are back today to share a new remix of Here And Nowhere Else track “Giving Into Seeing.” The remix comes courtesy of Outer Space, the duo of John Elliott (previously of Emeralds) and Andrew Veres, and finds them exploring an alternative universe in which “Giving Into Seeing” is a nearly 5 minutes Krautrock jam.
