Lee Bannon’s Main/Flex EP Coming November 4th

LEE BANNON ANNOUNCES NEW EP

SHARES FIRST SINGLE FEATURING HAK FROM RATKING VIA THE FADER

MAIN/FLEX EP OUT NOVEMBER 4 THROUGH BABYGRANDE

Just saying “Electronic” is not enough. The different aspects of the genre are endless, and for NYC based producer Lee Bannon, exploring those new directions is exactly his mission. Not being tied to one genre is a trend of Bannon’s. Gaining his popularity initially in hip hop with his work with Joey Bada$$, Curren$y and others, Lee then ventured off to pursue his solo project of drum & bass and ambient production. His latest release, Alternate/Endings, catapulted Lee’s career, making him a popular staple not only to press and other musicians, but fans alike.

With positive reviews in major outlets like Pitchfork, Resident Advisor, Stereogum, SPIN and other tastemakers, Lee Bannon became a household name for lovers of drum & bass and other sub-genres of electronic music. On the heels of Alternate/Endings’ release, Lee immediately hit the studio to begin creating his new EP, Main/Flex.

Main/Flex is not simply a drum & bass EP. It combines traditional drum & bass elements with ambient passages and hypnotizing melodies. Its inspiration comes not only from other music, but from film, art, and worldly issues. Its a distillation of his ability to “call wherever he rests his head home, be it D&B, hip-hop, or elsewhere,” as Pitchfork noted, but finds him borrowing aspects from all of these genres, rather than settling on a singular sound.

The EP, mastered by acclaimed producer and engineer Daddy Kev, features appearances by Hak of Ratking, Charlie Benante of Anthrax and Deejay Earl of TekLife. Look for Main/Flex in stores and digitally worldwide on November 4th, 2014.
