HEADLINING BLURRYFACE WORLD TOUR THIS FALL

MAINSTAGE FESTIVAL APPEARANCES AT BONNAROO AND LOLLAPALOOZA THIS SUMMER

With over 146,000 equivalent units, powered by over 133,000 in pure album sales, Twenty One Pilots have landed at the top of the Billboard Charts with their triumphant sophomore studio album Blurryface. Since announcing the album’s release in March, excitement reached a fever pitch as all singles charted in the Top 5 on iTunes and tour dates began selling out months in advance. The band celebrated their album release with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performing “Tear In My Heart” and “Stressed Out,” showcasing their explosive approach to live performance.  The album has also charted worldwide, including Top 5 in Canada, as well as Top 20 in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and the UK.

Billboard commented on the band’s new LP stating that Blurryface, “… serves as evidence that one of pop’s most daring duos isn’t about to slow down,” while Alternative Press stated that Twenty One Pilots, “ramped up everything, from new influences to the number of producers (four) to the metric ton of uncertainties and fears multiplying in frontman/songwriter Tyler Joseph’s cranium. And it’s wonderful.”

Blurryface takes Twenty One Pilots’ explosive mix of hip-hop, indie rock and punk to the next level, with soaring pop melodies and eclectic sonic landscapes. The fan track, “Fairly Local,” reached #1 on iTunes’ Alternative Chart, and top 5 on Billboard’s Twitter Chart. The album’s lead single, “Tear In My Heart,” debuted at #8 on Billboard’s Top Rock Songs Chart and is currently in the Top 10 and climbing at Alternative Radio, while the following single, “Stressed Out,” debuted with over 1 million streams first week.  The companion videos for all 3 songs have already amassed over 14 million views combined.

Twenty One Pilots will set out on the Blurryface World Tour after opening dates in the UK earlier this May, followed by North America this Fall. The North American leg kicks off September 8th  in Washington, DC and hits major cities such as Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, the band’s hometown of Columbus, OH, and the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. Joining Twenty One Pilots on the North American leg of the Blurryface World Tour will be alt-pop band Echosmith, best known for their smash hit “Cool Kids.” Ticketing information can be found on twentyonepilots.com. The band will also bring their Blurryface World Tour to Australia, South East Asia, Japan, and Europe prior to the North American dates. Twenty One Pilots will also perform at a myriad of summer festivals around the world including Bonnaroo, Bunbury, Lollapalooza and Fuji Rock.

In only one record cycle Twenty One Pilots have grown astronomically, emerging from clubs to main stage festival appearances. The band’s 2014 “quiet is violent tour” reached sold out audiences around the world including London, Amsterdam, Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, Mexico City and more. The band’s debut studio album Vessel continues to gain momentum with the highest selling week for their album occurring recently at the end of their two year album cycle, and over 300,000 copies sold, and over 1,000,000 singles sold to date.
