US Headlining Tour Starts Today

Toronto’s most anticipated rock band, Teenage Kicks, has released a new video for their rock anthem, “Shit-Eater” via Substream Magazine. The band’s exceptional song writing skills shine through in this guitar-filled song, which comes from their latest album, Spoils of Youth via Universal Music Canada. The band is also gearing up to hit the road starting today, September 11th, in Trenton, NJ.

“‘Shit-Eater’ is a song about becoming what you hate most,” says guitarist and lead singer Peter van Helvoort. “It’s about being consumed by right and wrong until vulnerability ironically turns you into the bully you’ve despised all along. Everyone experiences that at one point or another, and for us, getting out on the road is the best way to exorcise that demon. Being on tour places us around new people and away from the computer screens that make us stir crazy, so we are really looking forward to this upcoming tour.”

The sibling duo, Peter and Jeff Helvoort, have created the ultimate rock album, Spoils of Youth, that can only come from years of enduring countless conflicts and strife. Filled with ten tracks of heavy-melodic rock riffs, honest lyrics, and raw emotion, the finished album is the sum of multiple factors including, failed relationships, lost members, bad timing/worse luck, and a hard dose of reality. The result is one of the years most prolific albums.
