Dustin Wong and Takako Minekawa create music intuitively and with a deep level of understanding of one another’s artistic personalities, perfectly exemplified on their new album Savage Imagination. Everything about their albums, from the artwork, to the music videos, they create themselves, together. Their most recent video for “Pastel Ice Date,” features rotoscoped ice dancers and antimated versions of themselves, which was drawn by Dustin and colored by Takako. It premiered this morning via BOMB Magazine, where they also provided commentary on its creation.

Dustin and Takako will be coming over to the US for an extensive tour in November and December, where they will bring their relentlessly cheery looped songs to American crowds for their first full collaborative tour.
