Alpine’s Yuck Out Soon

Violent Femmes’ Happy New Year Arrives

Violent Femmes’ first new collection of songs in 15 years, HAPPY NEW YEAR EP, will be released globally on all major digital outlets today June 2, 2015. The EP was recorded this past New Year’s Eve in Hobart, Tasmania, after the legendary band performed a sold out concert at the world famous Sydney Opera House. The EP was originally released in April exclusively on 180 gram champagne clear vinyl for Record Store Day, and ended up being one of this year’s top sellers. Rolling Stone premiered the audio of the first single, “Love Love Love Love Love,” and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon premiered the video of the song.

Live Tigers Jaw Coming

Will Yip, the producer, engineer and songwriter at Studio 4 behind several of the biggest bands in today’s punk and indie scene (Title Fight, Circa Survive, La Dispute, Balance + Composure) announced today that he has teamed up with Run For Cover Records to create his own imprint, Memory Music. Launched with the intention of highlighting the community of artists he has built around his studio and the overall vibe generated by the studio’s space, Memory Music’s debut release will be a live LP from the much-loved Tigers Jaw.

Ivy Levan Brings No Good

Arkansas-born, L.A.-based singer and songwriter Ivy Levan has announced the official release date for her debut album, “No Good,” out August 7th via Cherrytree/Interscope Records. The album builds on the bold and brash “swamp pop” sound Levan first revealed on her 2013 EP “Introducing the Dame,” which sparked buzz from many major media outlets, including Billboard, who called her “an entrancing pop singer with uninhibited soul-infused stylings,” Allure, who noted that her music is “powerful and dark, but also a bit playful,” and The Huffington Post, which praised her “vocal virtuosity.” An official teaser for album track “27 Club,” produced by Diplo, was released today as a sneak peak of what fans can expect from the upcoming full length.
