More on Marianne Williamson’s Congressional Campaign:
Williamson has campaigned throughout the district with a passionate argument for a new and independent political conversation. Claiming our government has turned into a “system of legalized bribery and corruption,” she has put getting money out of politics at the center of her message. She has proposed a Green New Deal; universal access to pre-school; free college in exchange for one year of national service; a complete overhaul of America’s prison system; recognition of climate change as a “clear and present danger” that must be dealt with fundamentally and not merely incrementally; and humanitarian rather than short-term economic values as society’s bottom line.
