Yak’s “Plastic People” Premieres

Yak Post Official “Plastic People” Video + Tour With The Big Moon Begins Next Week

Yak have shared a video for their current single “Plastic People,” comprised of a montage of footage from their thrilling live shows for which they’re become infamous.

“Plastic People” is the title track from the group’s debut EP, which is set for release on May 25th. The EP will be released digitally worldwide on the band’s own imprint Octopus Electrical and on vinyl via Fat Possum.

Next week Yak will embark on a joint tour (dates below) with the UK’s other most exciting new band The Big Moon (fka The Moon) (https://www.facebook.com/commoonicate). To document this, a limited edition split cassette ‘Milked’ will be released on Heart Throb Records and sold exclusively at the shows. The cassette’s a-side is a continuous 30-minute piece of music by Yak featuring a mix of covers (done from memory so often radically different from the original versions) ranging from Dr John and King Crimson to Faust and Lonnie Donegan as well as an unreleased Yak song.
