WARRIOR HEART OUT SEPTEMBER 16 VIA KLI RECORDS

“Bouncy, ebullient electropop that should appeal to the considerable number of people who are still waiting for Grimes to write another ‘Oblivion’.” – Miles Raymer, Entertainment Weekly (on ‘Human Divine’)

“After listening (to Warrior Heart), I was knocked out… The whole album works from beginning to end. One of my finds for this year” – Felix Contreras, NPR Music

Yael Meyer will release her third album, Warrior Heart via KLI Records on Sept 16 and the Chilean chanteuse has been offering up multiple tracks from the tribal-pop collection in all formats. Last month the Wall Street Journal debuted the light-stencil animated video for the title track on the Speakeasy Blog and last week Entertainment Weekly gave a Sneak Peek of “Human Divine” calling it, “bouncy, ebullient electropop.”

Meyer recently launched a new video series on her official YouTube channel and is sharing a new video/song every week with the hashtag #NewMusicTuesday leading to the album relaese. This eight part web-series titled Warrior Heart Acoustic Sessions features full acoustic performances of songs from the album plus exclusive insight and commentary for each track. The series has already featured “Warrior Heart”, “Carry On”, “When The Road Ends” and “Vessel” with the next episode coming today.

Warrior Heart offers a flowering of Yael’s seductive wide-screen sound and showcases her unique blend of alt-folk and electronic music with the sounds of her native Chile, along with lyrics that bare her spiritual philosophy. The album is now available for pre-order and for a limited time, you’ll get the whole album for only $5.99 which includes three instant downloads: the single “Warrior Heart”, “Carry On,” and the record’s only Spanish track,”Yo Soy”.

From her birthplace in Santiago, Chile, to a scholarship at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Yael Meyer’s music reflects her eclectic background; an amalgamation of folk rock, her parents’ record collection and the exotic sounds of her homeland.

Warrior Heart was produced by Bill Lefler (Dashboard Confessional, Ingrid Michaelson, Fall Out Boy) is the follow up to Everything Will Be Alright. For that album, Yael joins a small group of artists (Moby & Meiko being the others) to license every song from the album for film and TV usage.

“Bright, affecting, synthesized rhythms and ambient sounds [that] burble under a soft sweet voice, sing-along melodies and nylon-string guitar.” – Wall Street Journal

“Sweet but not sappy… embodies artful simplicity, offering refuge from modern anxiety.” – Spin
