Walk The Moon’s Talking Is Hard Landing December 2nd
WALK THE MOON TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM “TALKING IS HARD” ON DECEMBER 2nd
WALK THE MOON is poised to release their highly anticipated sophomore album “TALKING IS HARD” on December 2nd, on RCA Records. The album is produced by Tim Pagnotta and mixed by Neal Avron.
“Shut Up and Dance”, the first single off of the album, was released last month and held the #1 spot on the Spotify viral top 50 US chart for the following two weeks. Critics have called the band “unstoppable” and the track “irresistible”.
On what became a much buzzed about appearance, WALK THE MOON performed “Shut Up and Dance” for the first time on NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers on September 15th (WATCH HERE).That same day the band released the official lyric video for “Shut Up and Dance” which was created from over one thousand submissions from fans enthusiastically dancing to the newly released track (WATCH HERE). Just last week WALK THE MOON teamed up with the growing music discovery platform 8tracks to premiere the official music video for “Shut Up and Dance”, accompanied by an exclusive interview on Mashable.com explaining the inspiration behind the video. The video is now available across Vevo (WATCH HERE).
WALK THE MOON’s sold out “SHUT UP AND TOUR 2014” kicked off earlier this month in Seattle, WA and will wrap up in Philly on November 5th. The very specialized tour features performances at more intimate venues with a combination of their classic hits and music from the upcoming album. In the coming weeks WALK THE MOON will announce plans for their next tour in spring 2015.

WALK THE MOON consists of Nicholas Petricca (lead singer, songwriter and keyboard player), Eli Maiman (guitar, vocals), Kevin Ray (bass, vocals) and Sean Waugaman (drums, vocals) all hailing from Ohio. After the band’s explosive first single “Anna Sun”, including the beloved music video which became a viral sensation with over 9 million Vevo views to date, WALK THE MOON was praised by music industry tastemakers across the board. “There’s something about WALK THE MOON that’s absolutely out of this world. In 2012, now signed to RCA Records, WALK THE MOON was named one of MTV’s 2012 Artists To Watch and were poised to release their self titled debut album through the label. The band made their network television debut with a spotlight feature on NBC’s Last Call With Carson Daly and would follow up that performance with appearances on Letterman, Fallon and Conan.
