Atlantic recording artist Ty Dolla $ign has released his hugely anticipated new single, “Drop That Kitty (feat. Charli XCX & Tinashe)” heralds the release of Ty’s long awaited debut album, slated to arrive later this Spring.

The track’s companion clip – directed by Shomi Patwary – was shot earlier this month in Los Angeles and will premiere in the coming weeks. The sure-to-be smash single is the follow up to the L.A.-native’s previously released single, “Stand For,” produced by Diplo and DJ Dahi. Recently featured on the covers of Fader, The Source and XXL’s “Freshmen 2014” issue, Ty just returned from a multi-city tour of Australia and New Zealand alongside his longtime friend and collaborator YG.

Last month, Ty was announced as one of the artists included in MTV’s “Artist To Watch” line up for 2015, joining the likes of Rae Sremmurd, FKA Twigs, Hoodie Allen, Shawn Mendes, Raury and more. The yearlong campaign features 11 of music’s rising stars, with promotion across the network’s TV, online, social media and mobile platforms.

Ty made a splash in 2014 after the release of his critically acclaimed, RIAA gold-certified major label debut “BEACH HOUSE EP,” which spawned 2 gold certified singles with “Paranoid (feat. B.o.B)” and “Or Nah (feat. Wiz Khalifa & DJ Mustard),” the latter proving to be an undeniable summer smash, with the remix featuring The Weeknd, Wiz Khalifa and DJ Mustard.
