Twiceyoung’s Prefer You Out November 11th

TWICEYOUNG debut new single on Bullett; announce forthcoming EP sophomore EP, “Prefer You” due Nov 11

Much like their name might suggest, TWICEYOUNG are a dichotomy – a potent blend of juxtaposing aesthetics, connected by a singular numbing nostalgia that breath a new light on soaring indie pop. Today, the trio release the first new single from their sophomore EP, “Prefer You,” on Bullett.

With a flagrant nod to their emphatic punk influences, the Nashville three-piece combine hopeful and heartfelt lyrics with the electronica stylings of contemporary pop artists like James Blake and Sucre to create an honest and unique sound all their own.

Heartbreakingly distant yet strangely comforting, the band lead with the ethereal single, “Uncover,” on Bullett, an introspective track that builds to an anthemic chorus bleeding with heavy bass and synth, a fitting introduction to their new found sound. “This was one of the first songs written for the new EP and it definitely influenced the tone for the rest of the record,” muses Tyler Laspopolous. “Uncover is a combination of other songs and ideas written over the past few years that came together perfectly to form one.”

Bullett noted that the single “finds the band excavating deep bass sonics and hovering above the fray with effervescent synths and remorseful, but increasingly frustrated vocals.”
