Fueled By Ramen recording group twenty one pilots has announced details of their upcoming North American headline tour. Dubbed the “QUIET IS VIØLENT TOUR,” the trek gets underway September 4th and 5th with a pair of outdoor homecoming shows at Columbus, Ohio’s Lifestyle Communities Pavilion (5,200 capacity), both of which completely sold out within minutes of their announcement last month. Additionally, a second show has been added at Philadelphia’s Tower Theater, set for September 28th as the initial date of September 27th sold out instantly.  The “QUIET IS VIØLENT TOUR” will then travel through late October – please seewww.twentyonepilots.com/tour for complete tour details and ticket information.

The “QUIET IS VIØLENT TOUR” sees twenty one pilots continuing their seemingly infinite tour, an amazing journey that has seen the Columbus, Ohio-based duo perform a myriad of sold out headline and festival dates around the world. In 2013 alone, twenty one pilots performed at many of the most significant US festivals, including Bonnaroo, Hangout, Lollapalooza and Outside Lands.  Furthermore, the duo has completed two sold out US concert legs with their “tripforconcerts” tours and now in 2014 they’ve already wrapped-up a headline European run and kicked off a sold out US spring trek. Their summer global tour schedule includes international festival stops at Download, T in the Park, Summersonic, Pinkpop and many more.

Meanwhile, “Car Radio” – the latest single from twenty one pilots’ acclaimed album, “VESSEL” – is currently ascending at Alternative radio outlets nationwide, while its companion video has racked up more than 4 million individual views and counting at www.youtube.com/watch?v=92XVwY54h5k. What’s more, twenty one pilots has been all over the airwaves in recent weeks, performing “Car Radio” live on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Myers – streaming now at www.nbc.com/late-night-with-seth-meyers/video/twenty-one-pilots-performance-car-radio/2777598 – as well as the highly rated 2014 MTV Movie Awards – streaming now at www.mtv.com/videos/misc/1030291/car-radio-live.jhtml#id=1724960 – which catapulted “VESSEL” to #1 on the Alternative chart on iTunes, and #6 on the overall albums chart.

2013 saw twenty one pilots landing a nomination for MTV’s 2013 “Artist To Watch” VMA and a performance of “House Of Gold” in their late night debut on ConanUSA Today included the band’s performance on Conan in their “10 Unforgettable Music Moments from TV.” As if that weren’t enough, twenty one pilots will be among the star-studded line-up performing at the 2014 Alternative Press Music Awards, slated for July 21st at Cleveland’s world famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. The duo is nominated for four awards at this year’s show including “Album of The Year,” “Best Live Band,” “Breakthrough Band” and “Best Drummer.” For more, please seewww.altpress.com/apmas.

Alternative Press recently placed “VESSEL” at the very top of its “10 Essential Albums of 2013” ranking, with Editor-In-Chief Jason Pettigrew writing, “twenty one pilots are very much a pop band trafficking in sunny hooks, propulsive beats and fizzing electronica. But ‘VESSEL’ isn’t another mindless cookie-cutter opiate found on the end caps at Target. Joseph’s neurotic (sometimes troubled) ruminations on modern life undercut the breezy sentiment the music conveys. Dance, cry or do both at the same time. Just feel.” In addition, the duo have long earned coast to coast applause for their stellar live sets and show stopping festival performances. “The first great set of Bonnaroo 2013,” exclaimed USA Today, while SPIN named the band one of their “40 Best Things We Saw At Outside Lands 2013,” noting that the “acrobatic, emo-rap, screamo-synthpop, cabaret-core duo…wiggle their way into your heart via intense genre hybridization (there’s definitely something for everyone) and their unique charm.”

Among the album’s many highlights are such breakthrough hits as the top 15 Alternative smash, “House of Gold,” as well as “Holding On To You,” the companion video for which has drawn nearly 8 million views at the official Fueled By Ramen YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/user/FueledByRamen.
