Tom Schrek’s Save Your Glory Released
Nashville Outsider Music Releases Save Your Glory, the New Album from Recording Artist Tom Schreck
Award-winning songwriter and producer releases his sophomore solo album, an ambitious, genre-hopping tour de force
Nashville Outsider Music announces the release of Save Your Glory, the new expanded-length album from acclaimed Nashville-based recording artist Tom Schreck, who served as producer, composer/arranger, lead singer and multi-instrumentalist on the sessions. The album was recorded in Nashville at Middle C Music and OMNISound with engineer Mike Farona and many of the same core musicians featured on Schreck’s 2009 debut Outsider. Save Your Glory features 17 songs, all written and composed by the artist, except “Promised Land,” written in collaboration with singer-songwriter TJ Hitt.
The material is a showcase for Schreck’s wide-ranging creative vision, spanning genres and styles, including rock, Americana, classical music, funk, soul, power pop, standards, Celtic and world beat, with an ambitious and cinematic scope to the production. A sampling of the album’s primary influences includes The Beatles, Pet Sounds-era Beach Boys, Elvis Costello, Peter Gabriel, Sam Cooke, Prince, Sergio Leone, Gillian Welch, Bruce Springsteen, Roy Orbison, ELO, Janelle Monáe, Bob Dylan, Burt Bacharach, Tom Waits, Tony Bennett, Beck, his talented friends and peers in the Nashville artist scene, and countless other figures from music’s rich history.
Commenting on the album’s release, Schreck stated, “This record represents years of work – writing and rewriting, composing, recording and editing – culminating in my most adventurous set of music yet. I thank all the talented people who helped me on the project, whether musicians and engineers on the recordings, or those friends and fans who have offered support and inspiration along the way. I hope hard work and joy come through in this music, and I hope listeners enjoy the fruits of my twisted vision.”
Schreck is available for interviews, music placement/sound track opportunities, and all other inquiries. Please contact his press agent at Robert@clynemedia.com or the artist himself at tom@nashvilleoutsider.com. Follow Tom on Twitter @NashOutsider.
