EVERY KIND OF PEOPLE VIA T-KILLA/VERTUSENT OUT NOW!

NYC ROCKWOOD MUSIC HALL RESIDENCY ON NOV 20th
New York based singer-songwriter Toby Lightman has released her new album Every Kind of People out today Oct 27 via T-Killa/Vertusent and now available for purchase on iTunes. The album is produced by Curt Schneider (Lissie, Natasha Be Bedingfield) and the soulful 12-tracks embracing Toby’s long time affair with living in a bustling city coupled with the highs and lows of the human condition.
In celebration of the album release today, Toby Lightman has invited friends, family and media to a private event in the Lower Manhattan for an intimate evening at Carroll Place followed by a performance featuring songs from Every Kind of People.
In support of the new release Toby has been on a east coast tour including the Rockwood Music Hall Residency that will conclude on Nov. 20th focusing on a “Night for Life” themed repertoire for the evening. Toby will continue performing songs from her new album in Philadelphia, Vienna, VA and concluding in Manhasset, NY on Dec. 12th. She will be back on the road at the top of the year beginning Jan 20th at the Workplay Theatre in Birmingham and will hit cities such as Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, N. Augusta, Greenville and Chapel Hill, with more dates to be announced for 2015. Full dates are below.
Every Kind of People ranges from the rhythmic truth of the title track and single, “Every Kind of People” to the tumultuous fear of a broken heart in “Running from Love.” Toby channels the nostalgia of youth on “Whatever Happened,” and the illuminous humor of vulnerability on the upbeat “Hangin out to Dry.” Toby cries out from the devastation of a fight with a lover on the ironic “Your Welcome” and spits sarcastic wit on the satirical “Brand Spankin New.” The album takes you into Toby’s world when she describes the moment she knew she found her now husband on “Bumps in the Road” and continues on the journey to illustrate the meaning of love on the epic track “My Love and Me.”
