Thousand Album Coming April 7th

THOUSAND TO RELEASE SELF-TITLED SOPHOMORE ALBUM ON APRIL 7 VIA TALITRES

Thousand is the project of French songwriter Stéphane Milochevitch and releases its self-titled, sophomore album on April 7 via eccentric French label Talitres. The album is a beautiful collection of pop-folk gems and soulful songwriting with an addictive edge, reminiscent of the Supremes and Bill Callahan dipped in synth pop and afro-beat. Listen to lead track “The Flying Pyramid” HERE.

Milochevitch spent his teenage years in Texas, where he developed his musical and cultural identity. He started the drums at age 7, picking up a plethora of instruments along the way and began to record on his own four-track cassette home recorder.

Produced by Yann Arnaud (Air) and Frédéric Lo (Daniel Darc), Thousand is Milochevitch’s follow up to his 2008 debut, which featured twelve raw acoustic folk songs. Despite a lack of promotion, the press praised the album and American songwriter Josh T. Pearson covered and recorded one of his songs. Joining Milochevitch on the self-titled album is Olivier Marguerit on bass, keys and vocals, Raphaël Séguinier on drums and Emma Broughton and Maud Nadal on vocals.
