Tech N9ne Tops Charts With Special Effects

Tech N9ne’s Special Effects LP Is The #1 Rap, #1 Indie And #1 R&B/Hip-Hop Album In The Country

 The Indie Rap King Has His Highest First Week Sales Ever

Tech N9ne’s Special Effects album debuted as the #1 Rap Album, the #2 Independent Album and the #4 Album overall on Billboard’s Top 200 chart. This marks the fourth time one of the Kansas City rapper’s albums has earned that distinction. Special Effects sold 66,087units during the sales week ending May 10, making this his greatest first week of sales in his career.

Tech N9ne’s other Top 10 albums are 2011’s All 6’s & 7’s, 2013’s Something Else and his 2014 collabos album, Strangeulation. Released independently May 4 via Tech N9ne’s Strange Music, Special Effects includes the Eminem and Krizz Kaliko featured “Speedom,” which entered Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart at No. 16 on May 9.

The album also features “Hood Go Crazy,” a collaboration with 2 Chainz and B.o.B that is No. 33 on the May 16, 2015 edition of Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The song has been on the charts for seven weeks and continues to get major radio and video play across the country.
