Berlin-based songwriter and vocalist Sway Clarke II will be releasing his debut single “Secret Garden” on September 2nd.
The song originally surfaced as a demo online earlier in the year and caught the attention of critics and audiences across the globe. The new recording of “Secret Garden” sees Sway team up with much in-demand hip-hop and R&B wunderkind Tink. Sway says: “I describe Secret Garden as the sweetest, cutest, loveliest, most beautiful way to tell your partner…you are cheating on them.”
Born in Toronto as one of 8 children to a Jamaican father and Cuban mother, Sway relocated to Berlin in 2010 to focus on work as a full time songwriter. He introduced himself with the track “I Don’t Need Much” which received praise from publications such as the NME and Fader.
Shortly after that, Sway was drafted by HAIM as main support for the European leg of their tour, was picked up by Zane Lowe as his ‘Next Hype’ on BBC Radio 1, and has recently been featured by The New York Times T: Style Magazine surrounding his first Los Angeles performance.
“Secret Garden” is just the beginning – more exciting news to come from Sway Clarke II.
