Starset’s “Carnivore” Debuts
STARSET PREMIERES NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR “CARNIVORE” EXCLUSIVELY ON FaZe SPRATT’S YOUTUBE CHANNEL
Debut Album “Transmissions” Out Now At iTunes Store
On Tour With In This Moment
Starset has released a new music video for their song “Carnivore” exclusively on FaZe Spratt’s YouTube Channel. James Spratt is a gaming content creator for FaZeClan and has been working closely with Starset to use songs from the band’s debut album Transmissions in his popular Call of Duty montages.
YouTube creators from across the globe have used Starset’s music for their online video gameplay montages, animated music videos, and instrumental covers. In tandem with the video premiere, Starset has launched a contest asking YouTube creators to upload their own videos set to “Carnivore.” By submitting a video, fans will be entered to win a $250 gift card and autographed merchandise bundle courtesy of the band.
The “Carnivore” video was directed by Ramon Boutviseth (Chiodos, ATR, For Today, P.O.D.) and is the second music video from their debut album Transmissions(out now via Razor & Tie) – iTunes Store (http://georiot.co/STARSET). The album was produced by Rob Graves (All That Remains, Red).
Starset’s first single “My Demons” recently made radio history by being on the Billboard charts for a record-setting 43 weeks. This marked the longest chart run of the year at the format and the longest chart climb to the Top 5 at Mainstream Rock Radio for any artist since the launch of the chart in 1981. The song is currently #3 at Mainstream Rock Radio.
Starset’s debut album Transmissions was released this summer and debuted at #50 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart marking one of the highest chart debuts from a new rock band this year. The album will be released in the UK and Europe this November.
Starset is currently on tour with headliner In This Moment with supporting acts Twelve Foot Ninja and 3 Pill Morning (tour dates below).
About Starset
Starset is a rock band from Columbus, Ohio formed and led by Dustin Bates. A singer, songwriter and accomplished musician, Bates also boasts some serious scientific credentials. A PhD candidate in electrical engineering from Ohio University, he has done research for the U.S. Air Force and taught at the International Space University. In 2013 Dustin formed Starset after being contacted by an organization called The Starset Society and its President, Dr. Aston Wise. Bates was asked if he was interested in forming a band to promote the organization’s message. At its core, the message is a warning that involves a scientific discovery that is currently being controlled and manipulated by an elite few. Transmissions was produced by Rob Graves (All That Remains, Red). Read more about Starset and The
