Singer-Songwriter/Culturist Bob Hillman Launches New Website

Bob announced the launch of his new website this morning, here’s the complete post…

“I finally have a new website, after ten static years. I was not a Facebook user when the old site went live – it was a MySpace world – and Twitter did not quite exist. In addition to a new design, I have a new URL: bobhillmanmusic.com (bobhillman.com is STILL not available).

“I’d like to call particular attention to the blog, which I will be updating regularly. Right now, you’ll find posts about my Ted Cruz video (see below), my old friend Jack Hardy, and some of my all-time favorite concert experiences. Also, you can find my three albums and the videos I’ve made since I started making videos a few months ago.

“Special thanks to Thomas Barillier Web Designs. Tom and I have been working together for years, but it’s not what you think: he actually cut my hair throughout my childhood. He also played guitar and pedal steel in groups in L.A. in the 70s and 80s.”

Video: Ted Cruz

“As many of you know, I recently shared a video of my song about Ted Cruz. As it closes in on 1,000 views – 2.5X my next most-watched clip – I can only say that it has generated more-than-usual engagement. Of course, “engagement” can cut both ways: for every LOL, there’s a hater. I wrote up a summary of the experience on my blog, but you can also head over to Facebook if you’re interested in a trip to the dark side. And, if you haven’t heard the song, here’s one more opportunity to check it out. Warning: this video contains profanity, and left-leaning politics.”

Recording Project

“I am hoping to record again as soon as this summer, with one of my favorite songwriters as producer. It’s not time to name names – we’re still “in discussions” – but I will note that this artist shoulders some of the credit/blame for my becoming a worker in song in the first place. I should also mention that the proposed project would cost more than my kids currently have in their piggy banks; I suspect a crowdfunding campaign is my future.”
