Sheldon Gomberg – HuffPost 8.2.13
Mike Ragogna: Sheldon, what is your advice for new artists?
Sheldon Gomberg: Do what you love. I see people trying to guess at what’s going to be a hit and what’s going to make them famous, but that’s not really why you should be trying to make music. If you’re trying to make money or be famous, there are other ways to do it. You should be playing music because you love it. That’s kind of what it caters to these days, especially with American Idol and all that kind of stuff. When I grew up, you’d starve and you’d go homeless and you’d sleep in the gutters to play music. That’s not something people do now.
