Set It Off’s Duality Drops

SET IT OFF ANNOUNCES ‘DUALITY: STORIES UNPLUGGED’ EP

OUT JUNE 23 VIA EQUAL VISION RECORDS

PREMIERES MUSIC VIDEO FOR “BLEAK DECEMBER (ACOUSTIC)”

Equal Vision Records’ pop quintet Set It Off will release Duality: Stories Unplugged, a collection of stripped down, full band, string-infused tracks. The EP is comprised of new acoustic renditions of five songs from their recently released sophomore full-length Duality, and a brand new track – “Wild Wild World (Acoustic)”.

In addition to announcing the EP today, the band is also premiering a new music video for “Bleak December (Acoustic)”, which can be seen now at setitoff.merchnow.com. Preorders for the stunning new EP are also now available at the same link.

“We are so unbelievably excited to present to you: Duality: Stories Unplugged! We have received requests for an acoustic EP for a long time now and we had so much fun putting this together for you. It was a huge goal on this EP to not just deliver the songs you already know with the only difference being that it’s on acoustic guitars. We took time to re-imagine some of these tracks,” reveals vocalist Cody Carson. “For example, in our acoustic arrangement of “Bleak December”, we took a more mellow approach and a more somber tone to deliver almost a whole new meaning to the song. We wanted to name this Stories Unplugged because that is exactly how we look at these songs. These are all tales of different avenues of life we’ve walked down, and you’re along for the ride in a range of emotion and timbre. Thank you for your patience…I’m so glad we can finally provide you with this EP that we are so very proud of.”

This Summer, the Tampa, FL-based outfit will bring their larger than life performances all across the US and Canada this Summer on the Journeys stage of the 2015 Vans Warped Tour. This will be the band’s second time performing on the entirety of the massive annual touring festival. The band is currently on a headline run in the UK/Europe, with support from Decade and Brawlers. All upcoming tour dates can be found below.

Duality is out now and available digitally through iTunes, AmazonMP3, and Google Play, and at physical retailers such as Best Buy, FYE, Newbury Comics, MerchNOW and more. The band has released two official music videos alongside the album release, for “Why Worry” and “Ancient History”.
