Mike Ragogna: What’s your advice for new artists?

Scotty McCreery: I would tell them to do what they want to do, especially in country music today. Everything’s changing and everything’s kind of gone more mainstream. If you want to do that, do that, if you want to be a traditional guy go be traditional. Kacey Musgraves is a good example, she’s staying her way and nothing’s changing her. You’ve got to respect that. So I’d tell new artists to do what they want to do and people will listen.
