Satyricon Replaced At Phillip H. Anselmo’s Film Festival

Philip H. Anselmo’s Housecore™ Horror Film Festival Adds NAPALM DEATH and ORIGIN to replace SATYRICON

Norwegian black metal legends SATYRICON will no longer be able to perform at this year’s Housecore™ Horror Film Festival. The band explained via their official Facebook page: “Dear U.S fans. We regret to inform that Satyricon will not perform at Knotfest in San Bernardino, CA and Horror Fest in Austin, TX in October 2014. The reasons for not being able to perform at these two festivals are both pragmatic ones and entirely different from each other. Satyricon will now shift its attention towards the writing of a new album, re-editing the footage from the «Live at the Opera» live album/DVD and another project that will be announced at a later stage. It is important for the band that the U.S fans understand that you are far from forgotten and that the band look forward to come over for a full scale U.S tour as soon as it is possible. You deserve it.”

However, HHFF has already extended an invitation for Satyricon to appear in 2015. To make up for the unfortunate situation, HHFF is honored to bring in UK grindcore godfathers NAPALM DEATH. In addition, tech-death giants ORIGIN will take the stage alongside the rest of the killer acts we’ve already announced, including the recent additions of a SUPERJOINT reunion, GWAR, VOIVOD, CORRECTIONS HOUSE, MOBILE DEATHCAMP, and WAR MASTER.

HHFF will also feature celluloid appearances in the form of live concert footage and documentaries from metal heavyweights like VENOM, THE MELVINS, RIGOR MORTIS, LAMB OF GOD, and PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS as well as the Texas premiere of Alicia Lozano & Thomas Grahsler’s powerhouse documentary ‘Welcome to Deathfest.’ This Heavy Metal Mania block of films will make it feel like you’re right up front headbanging like a lunatic!
