NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 9, 2014) – On Tuesday, June 10, the award-winning bluegrass duo, THE ROYS, will release the first single, “No More Lonely,” from their highly-anticipated album The View, set to be released in September. The song celebrates a fresh, optimistic look at life and the dismissal of former anguish with the discovery of one’s “true love.” This upbeat track was penned by Lee and Elaine Roy, along with multi-BMI-Award-winning songwriter Steve Dean. Dean is responsible for writing songs for such icons as Conway Twitty, Barbara Mandrell, Lee Ann Womack, Reba McEntire, George Strait, Alabama, and many more! “No More Lonely” is now available for D.J. download on AirPlay Direct HERE. The song will also appear on the FRESH CUTS & KEY TRACKS (No. 1 – 2014) Rural Rhythm – Radio CD being delivered to radio this week. For more information on THE ROYS, please visit theroysonline.com.
“No More Lonely” is a sampling from THE ROYS’ upcoming fourth album The View, following last year’s top-5 album, Gypsy Runaway Train, which also earned the #1 spot on Sirius XM Bluegrass Junction’s Most-Played Albums Chart (Oct. 2013). As on Gypsy, The View will once again feature THE ROYS’ band members Clint White on fiddle, Daniel Patrick on banjo and Erik Alvar on bass, giving listeners a chance to enjoy the same authentic sound that ROYS fans hear live and on tour.
The upcoming album comes on the heels of an amazing year of accomplishments, including THE ROYS’ debut on the Grand Ole Opry, performance at “George Jones’ Final No Show” tribute concert, being named the Inspirational Country Music (ICM) Awards Bluegrass Artist of the Year for the third straight year and #1 Bluegrass Artist at the 2014 International Acoustic Music Awards (IAMA). The Roys look to carry this momentum with them for the release of The View this fall.
THE ROYS are currently splitting their time in the studio with an active touring schedule this summer and fall. Festival appearances include Bean Blossom, Blistered Fingers, Rockahawk, Gettysburg, Poppy Mountain and Outer Banks Island Bluegrass Festivals and their back-by-popular-demand return to Country Thunder Wisconsin! Hope to see you there!
