Mike Ragogna: Les, what advice do you have for new artists?

Les Claypool: You’ve just got to play. Play as often as you can with as many people as you can in front of as many people as you can. Playing in your bedroom and in the basement is limiting. You need to go out and play in front of other people with other people. Again, it’s back to the conversation thing. You can either read a speech or you can have a conversation. To be a good conversationalist, you need to talk to a lot of people.
