Pontiak Continues Tour Behind Their Innocence
Pontiak may be studio wizards, but over the past several years they have established themselves as true road warriors as well, and have spent most of 2014 on the road in support of their acclaimed recent full-length INNOCENCE. This fall the brothers Carney will be hitting the road again, playing a string of West Coast dates with Wovenhand.
The Carney brothers will be expanding the scope of their Heat Leisure project on October 21st, releasing the projects debut LP. Heat Leisure is Pontiak, Greg Fox and Alex Drewchin of Guardian Alien, Steve Strohmeier of Beach House, and Robert J. Otten III. It opens with a monologue from Merry Prankster and Grateful Dead associate Ken Babbs. The record recalls the wild improvised rock of the Dead, as well as Can and Amon Duul II. It will be available on limited LP.
