Pianos Become The Teeth’s Keep You Out October 28th

PIANOS BECOME THE TEETH PREMIERE NEW TRACK “LATE LIVES”

From NEW ALBUM KEEP YOU To Be Released October 28 via Epitaph Records

Poised to release their third studio album, Keep You, via Epitaph Records on October 28, Baltimore, Maryland band Pianos Become The Teeth give listeners a taste of what is to come with the premiere of their track “Late Lives.”

“Late Lives” is a track that marks a true turning point in the band’s approach to songwriting. The song’s cathartic, slow build sits on the shoulders of not just one lead riff, but as frontman Kyle Durfey explains, several intertwining riffs, shying away from the straightforward songs of the past. When Durfey sings, “you can’t be everything you want to before your time,” it is taken literally. “David doesn’t even hit a snare drum until two-and-a-half minutes in,” adds guitarist Mike York.

While Pianos Become The Teeth have evolved within their sound, Durfey insists Keep You is more of “a musical growth [than] a departure”. Dealing with subjects such as mortality and communication, the band put forward music that is still deeply honest and deeply personal. Noisey asserts, “The album packs in the same emotional ferocity, but through a different delivery mechanism.” A more expansive, thoughtful record, Keep You simply has more facets of the band to offer long-time listeners.

Pianos Become The Teeth will celebrate Keep You with a few special record release shows with Gates and Frameworks at the end of October. The band will also embark on a US tour with Circa Survive and Title Fight at the end of November.
