Phantogram Tour, Buzz Continues

PHANTOGRAM ANNOUNCES FALL HEADLINE TOUR

NAMED VEVO LIFT ARTIST FOR JUNE 2014

NEW “BLACK OUT DAYS” REMIX BY THE RANGE

NEW YORK, NY (June 17, 2014) – One of 2014’s most buzzed about and celebrated acts, PHANTOGRAM, announces U.S. headline tour this fall.

Hot on the heels of a sold-out show at NYC’s Terminal 5, performances at Lollapalooza, Latitude (UK), and Splendour in the Grass (Australia); and appearances at a host of other Summer festivals around the globe, PHANTOGRAM – currently on the road through June – will kick off a headlining tour in September (full schedule below).  The tour will include appearances at Austin’s ACL Festival and a follow-up headlining New York City show with rising hip-hop gourmand Action Bronson at Pier 97. Starting today, June 17, PHANTOGRAM is offering a ticket presale for select dates, with limited availability merch packages. General tickets will then be available on June 20.  For full ticket info visit www.phantogram.com.

It’s been a breakthrough year for PHANTOGRAM’S universally applauded duo, Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter. Their latest full-length release, VOICES [Republic Records], achieved unanimous critical acclaim, with the Associated Press hailing it “an epochal album, a generational capstone that will reside in playlists for a generation to come,” and SPIN naming it one of the “50 Best Albums Of 2014”.  The album made an impressive #1 debut on iTunes’ Alternative Chart and #5 on iTunes’ Top Album Chart.  VOICES also yielded the multi-format anthem “Fall In Love,” which landed in the Top 5 at Alternative Radio and Top 25 at AAA. Moreover, it’s become the #4 “Most-Shazamed Rock and Indie Song of 2014”.

Vevo has chosen PHANTOGRAM as its LIFT artists for June 2014, joining previous picks including LORDE. As part of LIFT, Vevo spotlights a breaking artist and features a piece of exclusive content across its expansive platform daily for the entire month. Fans will experience everything from exclusive live performances, to a fan Q&A, an interview about their genesis, and so much more. Most recently, the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform premiered an exhilarating live performance video of their new single “Black Out Days,” which is set to impact radio this month. Remixes of the fan-favorite have already begun pouring in, including a patient, radically reimagined remix of the track by alt-electronic artist and occasional tour-mate, The Range. Remixed or not, PHANTOGRAM’S nocturnal concoction of indie, alternative, cinematic hip-hop production, and noir electronica continues to engage and entrance. In addition to press attention, other noted musicians keep singing the pair’s praises, most recently when hip-hop legend Nas named “Fall In Love” one of his “3 Records” on BBC Radio 1’s Real Benji B show.

Earlier this year, PHANTOGRAM was a must-see act at SXSW.  Footage from their Guitar Center Sessions SXSW set, featuring “Fall In Love” which premiered on ELLE.com and“Black Out Days” that premiered with USAToday.com, provides a glimpse of the band’s fantastic live show.

Soon, the likes of The Flaming Lips and Big Boi [Outkast] began seeking them out for studio collaborations. Republic Records also recognized their spirit and joined forces with them in 2013.
