Sony Music/Essential Records recording artists PawnShop kings premieres their lyric video for their song “When You’re Holding Me” exclusively on ElmoreMagazine.com today August 28. The video was shot on their grandfather’s farm in West Memphis, Arkansas while they were on their cross country road trip retracing their musical roots. The family-oriented duo has deep musical and family roots in the south. The footage in the video shows Joel and Scott surrounded by their family on their grandfather’s farm and in their home.

The soulful, southern, blues infused duo has been featured on the award-winning popular BAND OF THE DAY app and Rolling Stone Country, who called the duo’s PSk EP “stellar,” named PawnShop kings as one of the elite “10 New Artists You Need to Know” when the site launched this summer.

Brothers Scott and Joel Owen, native Californians with deep family roots in the south, formed PawnShop kings after years of playing music together. Their recently released five song EP is packed with the southern, soulful and Americana sounds that have influenced them. Their unique blend was perfected and developed with two of the industry’s most respected producers Phil Madeira (The Civil Wars, Emmylou Harris) and Lynn Nichols (Mat Kearney, MuteMath).
