Parachute Youth’s “Can’t Get Enough” Gets Remixed
Parachute Youth’s leading man Johnny Castro starts off the summer right with a five-track ‘Can’t Get Enough’ Remixes package out now on Big Beat Records. Starting off with the light-hearted and whimsical Alex Ross remix with a beat so warm, it’s almost tropical. Next is Madrid-based DWYR’s mix, deemed the perfect summertime soundtrack by LIFE + TIMES. The extremely infectious but by no means oversimplified (HYPETRAK) mix by The Geek x Vrv takes over the centerfold of the EP. Its slow-motion staccato aesthetic creates a funky, smooth sound to break up the album. Followed by The Soundmen, the fourth mix is the coolest and most confident of the bunch. Closing out the collection is the sweaty-dance-floor-ready Valley Remix, bringing “Can’t Get Enough” to a new level that’s somewhere between nu disco, deep house and club house, and it’s just plain lovable – EARMILK. The original, “Can’t Get Enough” comes from the recent three-track ‘Can’t Get Enough EP’ available for download via Big Beat Records. Yeah Boy has already achieved considerable success with previous projects. As one-half of Parachute Youth, Johnny Castro hit #1 in five different countries with ‘Can’t Get Better Than This.’
