Noble Goes To Aspriation

INSPIRED NEW DISTRIBUTOR ‘ASPIRATION MEDIA’ MAKES A ‘NOBLE’ ACQUISITION

New independent film distribution company “Aspiration Media” announced today their first acquisition of Stephen Bradley’s NOBLE starring Deirdre O’Kane, Sarah Greene, Brendan Coyle, and Liam Cunningham. The UK/Irish film was produced by Bradley and Melanie Gore-Grimes and executive produced by Michael J Hunt through his company Ansty Productions and is slated for a spring 2015 release.

Appearing in the 2014 festival circuit, NOBLE won The Panavision Spirit Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Audience Awards at San Diego Film Festival, Dallas International Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival and Newport Beach Film Festival and the Best Feature & Special Jury Prize at the Boston Irish Film Festival.

Aspiration Media is a data-and-demand-driven distributor of independent films that aim to connect with the heart, mind, and soul of the audience. The company centers on an audience-centric technique using both conventional and unconventional marketing teams in-house. Based out of LA, the company has set a goal of releasing 3-5 films a year theatrically and across all platforms.

According to the 2014 Aspirational Consumer Index, more than one-third of consumers globally (38%) identify as Aspirationals, a demographic skewing younger and city-centric, and defined by their desire for responsible consumption, their trust in brands to act in the best interest of society, and their focus on style and quality.

“The aspirational audience is growing more significant in size and influence every year,” said Erik Lokkesmoe, Co-President of Aspiration Media. “Globally-minded and socially-savvy, these consumers want stories that are smart and soulful, with films that show the world as it is and as it could be. Moreover, we are seeing a surge of aspirational filmmakers who believe in double-bottom line stories that are commercially successful and socially-influential. Aspiration is the only distributor focused solely on serving this audience. Director Stephen Bradley has created a wonderful film around Christina Noble’s heroic story that matches the trends of the audience, and we could not be more proud of this film and the team behind it.”

Managing partner of Continental Media James Felts added, “Aspiration is looking to put audiences in front of content, not content in front of audiences. We are thrilled to be in business with this forward-minded distributor and look forward to helping them manage the release.”

Aspiration Media invested P&A funds into the gritty human interest and dance documentary BBOY FOR LIFE, now available on all digital platforms, and is an executive producer on the Rodrigo Garcia feature film LAST DAYS IN THE DESERT, starring Ewan McGregor.

The deal was negotiated by Matthew Shreder and James Andrew Felts, managing partners of Continental Media. Continental has also sold distribution rights on the picture to Avalon Distribution (Spain), L’Atelier d’Images (France), Shoval Film (Israel), and Able Entertainment (South Korea).
