Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers are excited to share their new video for the song “Waiting on Love,” starring real-life couple Jason Ritter (Parenthood, Girls) and Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness, Two and a Half Men). Written and directed by Todd Hurvitz and produced by Kyle Schember, “Waiting On Love” tells the story of a world under attack by an unlikely villain — a couple blinded by love and oblivious to the threat they pose to the world around them. To create a unique and beautiful setting for the story, the band turned to Mike Murnane and Josh Short of San Francisco’s Cardboard Institute of Technology. Their team created a sprawling, stunning, and hand-crafted cityscape replete with skyscrapers, a ferris wheel, and even a van full of Gramblers.

“Waiting On Love” is a jangly, feel-good song about busted hearts trying to hold things together,” said lead guitarist/vocalist Deren Ney who wrote the song. “We wanted to capture that feeling of a warm and fuzzy punch in the gut for the music video and were thrilled to have Jason and Melanie on board to help us tell the story of this doomed couple bringing an imaginary city to its knees. It was a beautiful creation, like a storybook come to life — and we had a blast watching it get torn to shreds.”
