MTV Presents Set It Off’s Duality
SET IT OFF DEBUTS NEW FULL-LENGTH ALBUM ‘DUALITY’ VIA MTV
FALL TOUR WITH BLACK VEIL BRIDES KICKS OFF OCTOBER 21
Equal Vision Records’ Set It Off is debuting their high-energy sophomore full-length, Duality, today on MTV.com. The Tampa, FL-based pop outfit takes their signature cinematic style to the next level with a diverse blend of bright sing-alongs, inspiring anthems, and sinister breakup ballads. Duality will be out on October 14 via Equal Vision Records.
Vocalist Cody Carson shares, “I grew up watching MTV and am completely honored that they are premiering Duality today – so a HUGE thank you to them!” He continues, “The overall response to our first few songs released, from listeners old and new, has been extremely inspiring and motivating and I can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks of the entire record!! Words cannot express how excited I am for October 14 to come so Duality can officially be released.”
Early reviews from Big Cheese Magazine and Alternative Press rave on the band’s lead single “Why Worry” respectively noting that the song “will have Fall Out Boy quaking in their boots” and that it’s “one of the best pop songs you’ll hear all year.” Music Connection similarly boasts that Duality is “not only a shining moment in their career, but a shiny piece of pop perfection.” The band can also be found on the cover of this month’s Highlight Magazine, which is out now!
Set It Off has just wrapped up their first week of rehearsals in preparation for the Black Mass Tour, where they will be performing alongside Black Veil Brides and Falling In Reverse. “I can honestly say that these new songs were meant to be played live. We will be playing four brand new songs on this upcoming tour, so now you just have to come and see us play to find out what they are. Let the Set It Off invasion begin!” The massive full US tour will kick off on October 21 in Niagara Falls. All upcoming tour dates can be found below.
Set It Off is comprised of Cody Carson (vocals), Dan Clermont (guitar), Zach DeWall (guitar), Maxx Danziger (drums), and Austin Kerr (bass).
Duality album pre-orders are available now through SETITOFF.merchnow.com and digital retailers. The band is currently offering “Why Worry”, “N.M.E.”, and “Tomorrow” (Oct. 7) as instant grat tracks with pre-orders. Duality will be released worldwide in partnership with Rude Records in the UK (October 13), Europe (October 14) and Germany, Austria and Switzerland (October 17), and with UNFD in Australia/New Zealand.
