Modern Baseball’s “Pothole” Premieres

Modern Baseball Debut “Pothole” Video
on Entertainment Weekly

Fall North America Tour Dates w/ I Am the Avalanche,
The Wonder Years, The Story So Far + more

Philadelphia’s Modern Baseball have hit a home run with their new video for “Pothole” that premiered on Entertainment Weekly yesterday, who called it “subtly powerful”. The track is off their sophomore album You’re Gonna Miss It All which came out earlier this year on Run For Cover Records. Directed by Kyle Thrash, who also did the band’s video for “Your Graduation” as well as videos for The Weekend, “Pothole” shows a quieter side of Modern Baseball, combining tour footage to create a video as sentimental as it is enjoyable to watch.

Modern Baseball kick off an enormous run of North American tour dates this week, including appearances at Riot Fest Chicago and Fest 13. Over the next two months they will tour to Riot Fest with I Am the Avalanche and Beach Slang; following that they will embark on a 6-week tour with The Wonder Years, The Story So Far and Gnarwolves which ends at Fest 13 (all tour dates below).

The band was formed in 2011 by friends and guitarists Jacob Ewald and Brendan Lukens, who were soon joined by Ian Farmer on bass and Sean Huber on drums. Modern Baseball self-released their first EP The Nameless Ranger in 2011 while still in high school. Shortly after the members relocated to Philadelphia to attend college and quickly gained a strong following in the Philadelphia music community, teaming up with locals Marietta to release the Couples Therapy split in the spring of 2012. They released their debut full-length Sports later that year on Lame-O Records, which they self-recorded and produced. After spending the summer of 2013 touring heavily across the US, the band headed into Studio A in Philadelphia to self-record You’re Going to Miss It All. Mixed by Jonathan Low at Minor Street Recordings and mastered by Will Yip, You’re Going to Miss It All features 12 tracks that showcase the band’s signature witty indie-pop.
