Mickey Jack Cones Goes With Combustion And Atlas
Mickey Jack Cones Inks Publishing Deal with Combustion Music and Atlas Music Combustion Music, along with their partner Atlas Music Publishing, is pleased to announce the signing of a long term publishing agreement with hit producer and songwriter Mickey Jack Cones. Combustion Music’s President, Chris Farren, says of Cones, “I have been a big fan of Mickey’s for some time. He is a triple threat as a musician, songwriter and producer, and is one of the hottest producers in Nashville. What the rest of the town may not know is that he is an equally good songwriter, and we plan on helping him grow that facet of his career. We couldn’t be more fired up.” Cones will work closely with Combustion’s creative team (Chris van Belkom and Kenley Flynn) to seek out new opportunities, manage his calendar and get his songs heard. Texas-born Cones is an award winning producer, engineer, musician, singer and songwriter. His production clients include Dustin Lynch, Trace Adkins, Joe Nichols, Jeff Bates, Thompson Square and many others. Last year, Cones was named among the Top 10 Hot Country Song Producers by Billboard Magazine for having produced multiple #1 songs on Country radio in 2014, including Joe Nichols’ “Sunny And 75” and “Yeah” and Dustin Lynch’s “Where It’s At (Yep Yep)”. Cones is based in Nashville, TN where he owns Westwood Studios, a retreat-like, state of the art recording studio in Berry Hill. Cones says of the signing, “I am beyond thrilled to be joining such a force of a team with Combustion and Atlas. They are, irrefutably, among the heaviest of hitters in the music publishing industry. Their proven hit making track record speaks for itself. Not to mention, it doesn’t get any better than this caliber of people. Creatively and personally, I couldn’t ask for a better partnership.” |
