¡Mayday! & MURS Announce 38-Date ¡Mayday! x MURS ¡MURSDAY! Tour 2014

¡Mayday! & MURS Are Touring To Support Their Acclaimed ¡MURSDAY! Album

After releasing one of 2014’s most acclaimed albums, ¡Mayday! and MURS are hitting the road for the ¡Mayday! x MURS ¡MURSDAY! Tour 2014. The 38-city jaunt begins October 28 at The Phantasy Concert Club in Lakewood, Ohio and concludes December 14 in Fort Collins, Colorado. In between, the Miami hip-hop group and the LA rapper/entrepreneur will be hitting St. Louis, Minneapolis, Seattle, Oakland, Las Vegas, Houston, Kansas City and Denver, among other cities.

The ¡Mayday! x MURS ¡MURSDAY! Tour 2014 comes on the heels of the June 10 release of ¡MURSDAY!, the debut collaborative album between ¡Mayday! and MURS. The collection earned rave reviews. “¡MURSDAY! comes off like a thrilling comic book team-up issue on wax,” AllMusic said in its four of out five-star review of the set, while XXL said, “If you’re going to blend two coasts for a summer album, ¡MURSDAY! proves that there are no better cities than L.A. and Miami to get the job done.”

After MURS appeared on “Hardcore Bitches,” a song from ¡Mayday!’s 2012 album, Take Me To Your Leader, MURS joined the Strange Music roster. As he continued recording and started performing with ¡Mayday!, ¡MURSDAY! became a logical next step. While recording the project, MURS had the stage in mind.

“Both of our live shows are very high-energy and I wanted to do something that would translate well,” MURS says. “So when you see it live, the chemistry we had in the studio and on the album would all come together.”

¡MURSDAY! features the singles “Tabletops,” which highlights MURS, Wrekonize and Bernz’s lyrical potency; “Here,” a tune about loners; and “Serge’s Song,” a selection rapped in Spanish and English that details the interaction between someone who is incarcerated and their friend who is not.
