Win Butler and Régine Chassagne of Arcade Fire are the latest performers announced as part of the esteemed lineup of artists taking part in I’LL TAKE YOU THERE – CELEBRATING 75 YEARS OF MAVIS STAPLES, a once-in-a-lifetime concert event taping honoring one of the most influential singers of our time. The concert will take place at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, IL on November 19.
In addition to the newly announced performers, the concert will feature a lineup of music stars, including: Gregg Allman, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Church, Jeff Tweedy & Spencer Tweedy, Widespread Panic, Emmylou Harris, Taj Mahal, Glen Hansard, Patty Griffin, Aaron Neville, Grace Potter, Ryan Bingham, Joan Osborne, Buddy Miller, Keb’ Mo’, Michael McDonald and Otis Clay. Staples will take the stage to perform with a number of special guests throughout the night
Grammy Award-winners Don Was and Buddy Miller will serve as music directors that will lead an all-star band backing the performers at this incredible concert event taping. The all-star house band includes longtime Mavis Staples guitarist Rick Holmstrom, legendary guitarist George Marinelli (Bonnie Raitt, Dixie Chicks), and drummer Sonny Emory (Bruce Hornsby, Earth Wind & Fire).
