Matthew Fowler Brings His Bring A Friend EP And Tour
20-year-old Folk Trouvère
MATTHEW FOWLER Teams Up With Fellow Orlandoan Artist to Tour US and Record New EP
“Bring a Friend” Tour to Hit 25+ Cities;
EP Features 6 New/Reimagined Tracks
Orlando-based singer/songwriter Matthew Fowler will hit the road this fall for a two-month long, 25+ city tour kicking off in Tallahassee at Hi Fi Jazz Cafe. At just 20 years old, Fowler is the perfect storm of all the essential singer-songwriter elements; a flawlessly raw yet organic voice, intricate melodies, compelling musicianship, alluring lyrics, and an overwhelmingly lush sound. In support of this tour, he recorded a special EP with fellow Orlandoan artist Reggie Williams who will be joining him on the tour as well.
“It’s great to get on the road with somebody whom I truly respect and enjoy on a personal and musical level,” said Fowler. “This tour is my longest one yet in one go; seeing tons of new cities, new states, meeting new people. The shifting landscape and the new faces are some of my favorite parts of tour.”
Paired and named as the “Bring A Friend” Tour and EP, the six song compilation features two brand new tracks and one previously released track from both Fowler and Williams. Fowler’s single “Beginners” from his debut album starts off the EP, rerecorded and reimaged with accompaniment from Williams. New song “Everything That I Could” follows, highlighting Fowler’s rich, textured vocals and euphonic acoustic guitar. Other newbie “Rooftops” closes out the record – a magnetic melody showing Fowler’s strength and range, yet the perfect theme for the tour that expresses a longing to travel and explore.
“It was my first time collaborating with another person so closely in the recording process,” continued Fowler. “It was a challenge at first, but the blending of the two styles ended up developing very naturally I think.” The EP is set to be released later this fall after the conclusion of the tour, however a limited pressing of physical copies will be available for purchase at their shows.

Earlier this year, Fowler released his debut album Beginning which included songs he began writing at age 14. He was featured on Acoustic Guitar Magazine, Huffington Post, and Daytrotter among many others. American Songwriter premiered album single “Blankets” and stated “At 19 years old, Fowler shows the same mastery of earnest, strummy songcraft as established artists like Damien Rice and Ben Howard.”
