Mariana Vega Gets Latin Grammy Nods

Venezuelan singer MARIANA VEGA is
Nominated for the Latin GRAMMY as Best New Artist
and Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album for “Mi Burbuja”
Participating as one of Franco de Vita special Guest Artist
in the Latin GRAMMY Acoustic Sessions in Miami Beach Nov. 5

After creating a tremendous impact in the music industry and in social media networks, MARIANA VEGA has been nominated for the Latin GRAMMY in the categories of Best New Artist and Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album, for her efforts accomplished in her album “Mi Burbuja.” Culminating the end of the year Mariana Vega will become one of the most mentioned artists in the world of Latin Pop.

There has been such great reception between critics and artists with “Mi Burbuja”, that it came to the ears of the legendary vocalist, composer and icon of Venezuelan music, Franco De Vita, who did not hesitate to invite her to be one of his special guests and share the stage during the closure of the Latin GRAMMY Acoustic Sessions this upcoming November 5th in the beautiful New World Center in Miami Beach. The 15th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards is the most important event of the year in the Latin music it will take place on Thursday November 20, in Las Vegas, NV.

Born in Venezuela, then spending several years living in Toronto, Canada, Mariana Vega calls Miami home where she continues to conquer the world of Latin Pop with her album “Mi Burbuja” which combines alternative folk and pop rock genres and incorporates deeply emotional and social conscious lyrics. “Mi Burbuja” is produced by Cachorro López, who is responsible for countless Latin classic rock and pop albums; the music of this record is luminous and light, but it depicts the detailed traces of Mariana’s music education, which range from the sensitivity of pop music to the acoustic resources and the depth of alternative folk style without reaching the most raucous of rock music, which is also present. The best definition for Mariana’s music is as Cachorro López refers to as a genre created in this album “Pop with teeth”.

Despite Mariana Vega being one of newest names in the Latin Pop music scene, its presence has been impressive, its growth in social networks continues to thrive, summing more than two hundred thousand followers and four of her videos have already reached six million visits.

In addition to its more recent recognition by the Latin Recording Academy, “Mi Burbuja” record has reached double platinum in her native Venezuela, while songs have reached top of the charts in countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama. Vega is a prolific singer songwriter, signed to Warner Chappell publishing.

Mariana extends her artistic abilities, collaborating with other established recording artist at the height of Los Amigos Invisibles, Oscar D’Leon, Ale Sergi (Miranda!) and Cachorro López. The nominations to the Latin GRAMMY in the categories of Best New Artist and Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album are simply proof that Mariana is capable to walk the path of the great vocalists and composers.
