Mike Ragogna: What advice do you have for new artists?

Mike Reno: It’s quite simple. Find a person or a group of people that you really enjoy being around and like to work with, and concentrate on your songwriting and practice your craft. If you’re a player of some sort, keep playing all the time, but concentrate on making the songs interesting, fun, and whatever it takes to make them something people want to hear over and over again. You have to spend some time with this because crafting songs is not easy. Crafting good songs is really hard, but it’s really worth the effort.
