ON WARRIOR RECORDS / UNIVERSAL MUSIC DISTRIBUTION

ALBUM DEBUTS ON CHARTS AND INFILTRATES AIRWAVES

“Prima Jr. & the Witnesses’ “BLOW” is one release with enough sonic goodies to stir any listening into dancing feet” – The Celebrity Café

As Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses criss-cross the country in support of their second full-length release, Blow, the album debuts on charts and infiltrates the airwaves. The new album was released just one week ago and was the #1 most-added Jazz record in the nation, garnering a Top 25 debut on the CMJ Jazz Chart and holding its spot as one of the Top 15 Jazz album on iTunes.

BLOW is eight original songs as well as covers of Adam Ant’s “Goody Two Shoes” and Louis Prima Sr.’s “Robin Hood,” but their originality shines most on the first single “Go Let’s Go”. Driven by a riotous horn lead with flourishes of upbeat guitars and drums, it’s sexy and slick.

Recorded at the legendary Capitol Records studio in Los Angeles with co-producer and Warrior Records C.E.O. Jim Ervin, BLOW is a well-crafted musical statement. There are touches of boisterous big band, swaggering rock ‘n’ roll, simmering soul, edgy jazz, and swing. However, Prima sums everything up best, “My message is to have a good time and enjoy life.”
