Live At Knebworth Gets Blu-ray’d
LIVE AT KNEBWORTH
STARRING PAUL McCARTNEY, ERIC CLAPTON, PINK FLOYD, ROBERT PLANT, ELTON JOHN, PHIL COLLINS, GENESIS, AND MORE!
SD BLU-RAY TO BE RELEASED MARCH 17, 2015
The date was June 30, 1990, and the event was heralded as “The Best British Concert Of All Time.” Now, 25 years later, Eagle Rock Entertainment will release the Live At Knebworth concert film on SD Blu-ray on March 17, 2015.
Filmed at the Knebworth House in Hertsfordshire, this benefit concert for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and The Brit School For Performing Arts featured an all-star line-up, comprised of legends who all previously received the Nordoff-Robbins Silver Clef Award: Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Robert Plant, Elton John, Phil Collins, Genesis, Dire Straits, Tears For Fears, Cliff Richard & The Shadows, and Status Quo. All performed free of charge to support the cause.
Live At Knebworth presents a smorgasbord of famed songs performed live before a fervent festival crowd. McCartney delivers “Birthday,” “Hey Jude,” and “Can’t Buy Me Love,” Eric Clapton performs “Tearin’ Us Apart” and “Before You Accuse Me,” Elton John illuminates on “Sad Songs (Say So Much),” and “Sacrifice,” Genesis delves into an in-depth medley comprising “Turn It On Again,” “Somebody To Love,” and “Pinball Wizard,” Robert Plant is joined by Jimmy Page on “Rock And Roll” and “Wearing And Tearing,” Pink Floyd transports the crowd with “Shine On You Crazy” and “Run Like Hell,” and that’s just a taste of what this 32-track deep Blu-ray showcases.
Presented in upscaled standard definition with uncompressed stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio, Live At Knebworth will now be made available in the best possible quality. Proceeds from the Blu-ray sales will continue to raise funds for the charity.
