Last week, Lily Taylor shared the second single from her new album, The Ride, via Impose Magazine. Today, the album is now available in digital and cassette format via the Pour le Corps bandcamp. Pour le Corps Records releases vocalist/ artist Lily Taylor’s sophomore album, The Ride, on cassette tape and vinyl with digital download as part of an exciting line up for 2014 for the Dallas based record company. After years of performing the material live in California, New Mexico, New York, Oregon and Texas, Taylor has worked with producer Sean French to create a recorded work that fits perfectly with the analogue medium. Soft, ambient pieces that melt into catchy, yet experimental pop songs throughout the nine-song album is complimented by artwork from Marjorie Owens.

With a degree in contemporary music under her belt, Lily Taylor manages to blend the synth-pop genre with a distinctly avant garde flare. “Taylor’s uniquely structured songs play out with an arresting passion and a sublime spirit” – Charlie Swanson Noise Pop SF. The Ride is a much anticipated album from the musician, and links together her experiences and audiences in the art communities of San Francisco, CA, Santa Fe, NM, and the DFW area though the songs, the production and the art/music videos that are set to release at this September.
