Lewis Watson’s The Morning Coming July 8th
Lewis Watson is set to release his long-awaited debut album The Morning in the US on July 8th. Demonstrating his powers as a songwriter, these new songs take Lewis’ stripped-back, guitar-and-voice roots to a new level of richer, more textured soundscapes. Fans who pre-order The Morning will receive an instant grat download of new album tracks “Halo” and “Stay.”
Having previously unveiled The Morning album cut “Stay” & its chilling, Alice In Wonderland-esque accompanying video, Lewis has now shared his incredibly unique take on Local Natives’ “Wide Eyes.” The “Wide Eyes” (Local Natives cover) dropped with Refinery29, and is available to post & share HERE!
Lewis has also announced a full North American tour in support of the record, which will take him & his delightful live show to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Boston, the Bowery Ballroom in NYC & more! He’s quickly become renowned for his charismatic stage presence & a knack for truly engaging his enamoured audience.
In 2012, Lewis self-released his debut EP It’s Got Four Sad Songs On It BTW after establishing a devoted online fan-base. It topped the iTunes singer-songwriter chart on the first day of release, outselling the likes of Adele, Madonna and Ed Sheeran in the process, and landed the then nineteen-year-old singer-songwriter a deal with Warner Bros. UK.
In addition to critical acclaim, all five of his EPs to date have hit the Top 10 at iTunes, each building upon the sales of the previous release. Meanwhile, his online following is phenomenal: 6.3 million YouTube plays; 100,000 ‘likes’ at Facebook; 5 million streams at Spotify; and 70,000 Twitter followers.
