RAMSEUR RECORDS SIGN LEOPOLD AND HIS FICTION

TO MANAGEMENT ROSTER

Austin-based Indie Band, Named One Of American Songwriter’s

“Favorite Acts” At SXSW, Is On Tour Now

Upcoming Album Produced By Chris “Frenchie” Smith

Acclaimed Austin-based indie band Leopold and his Fiction have signed to Ramseur Records for management, joining a roster that includes The Avett Brothers, Bombadil, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Langhorne Slim & The Law, Rhiannon Giddens and Samantha Crain.

“We are thrilled to have Leopold and his Fiction join our roster and are excited to share their remarkable talent with everyone,” Abby Frackman and Dolphus Ramseur of Ramseur Records said.

As word continues to spread about Leopold and his Fiction’s roof-raising performances at SXSW and on the road, the band has extended its current U.S. headline tour into June. Leopold and his Fiction are giving audiences a preview of material from their upcoming album, which was recorded with producer-engineer Chris “Frenchie” Smith(The Datsuns, Jet, The Dandy Warhols). The video for the band’s new single, “I’m Caving In,” can be viewed HERE.

“Coldplay and Imagine Dragons take over SXSW, but it’s Leopold and his Fiction that really impress,” said American Songwriter, noting, “[they] took the stage as unknowns and successfully swept a crowd…off their feet and into spirited bouts of dancing, clapping and singing.” “With a frontman who looks like a silent film Freddie Mercury, howls like Jack White, and holds a crowd like a rock n’ roll evangelist, this combo stole the spotlight from well known artists at SXSW,” said the Charlotte Observer. TheAustin American-Statesman called lead singer Daniel James the “hardest working moustache at SXSW, serving up a sexy rock strut that would make Jack White red in the cheeks.”

The Waco Weekly welcomed Leopold and his Fictionto town with this cover story, hailing James as “rocker, Motown bluesman, Americana folk-master” and the Las Vegas Review-Journal praised the band’s “howlin’, hip shakin’, hair blowin’, music-critic-hyperbolizin’ rock ‘n’ roll.”

Leopold and his Fiction have recently supported The Cult, ZZ Top, Shooter Jennings, Reverend Peyton and Deer Tick. The band’s songs have been heard in such television shows as “Sons of Anarchy” (FX), “Dallas” (TNT) and “Deadliest Catch (Discovery Channel) and been licensed by Gap, Ray-ban, Volvo and Monster Energy BMX, among others.
