Landlady is proud to share two new tracks today – “Girl,” off their upcoming release Upright Behavior, and their remix of Sylvan Esso’s “Hey Mami.” “Girl” premiered via KCRW, who noted that Landlady’s songs “satisfy one of the basic tenets of Great Songs: they rarely end up in the same place where they began.”

Additionally, Landlady revealed their remix of Sylvan Esso’s “Hey Mami,” which premiered via Buzzfeed. Landlady’s Adam Schatz delved into the roots of the collaboration with Buzzfeed, saying “We play in bands and write songs because of a love for each other, a commitment to making sound together and doing the impossible to make people feel unusual. Sylvan Esso asked me to do a horn arrangement of their song ‘Hey Mami,’ a song they knew I really enjoyed and I dove in head first.” Landlady’s “Hey Mami” remix is available to stream and embed HERE.

Landlady have a rigorous touring schedule ahead of them, as the group will be touring the US throughout much of the fall with Man Man, Rubblebucket and more. To usher in their jaunt across North America, Landlady will play a unique set featuring 12 drummers, 10 horns and 3 additional singers at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade – where Upright Behavior has been designated Album of the Month – on July 1 as well as an album release show at Baby’s All Right on July 15th. The current list of tour dates is below, with more to be announced soon.

Landlady appeared on earth as the nucleus of the songwriting, arranging, and lyrical prowess of Adam Schatz – and as the collaborative campground for his closest friends. The release of 2011’s Keeping To Yourself began the ascent of the Brooklyn five-piece, who, in addition to Schatz, is made real by Ian Chang, Mikey Freedom Hart, Ian Davis and Booker Stardrum.
