KP Fritz’s “Kick Up Your Heels” Arrives

KP FITZ RELEASES

DIFFERENT KINDA COUNTRY

AND NEW SINGLE

“KICK UP YOUR HEELS”

For decades, country music has been primarily constrained to the sound of steel guitars, banjos and violins but today, country music borders the main stream and is embraced by suburban and urban fans from all walks of life. Current country hits are integrated with the sound of many cultures and feature different styles, vocal renditions and instrumentations on the musical tracks being produced. Newcomer KP Fitz adds something different to that mix with his new CD, Different Kinda Country.

The buzz started when Kelly Fitzpatrick began performing his “new kind of music” in his hometown of Evanston, IL (outside of Chicago.) Early on, audiences became intrigued by Kelly’s self-created musical genre that combines country, pop, R&B and dance music into one. Shortening his artistic name to KP Fitz, he saw it necessary to launch THE KP FITZ MOVEMENT and introduce it to a new generation of fans.

Today, KP is exploding on the music scene as a “different-kinda-country” performer. His new single “Kick Up Your Heels,” recently debuted on the Billboard Hot Single Sales Charts at #13. Soon after, he garnered new fans and sang to a screaming audience at ASCAP’s 100th Anniversary Convention before showcasing his new album at the Mint in Los Angeles, CA. Both audiences were spell bound when the tall, slim, hat wearing, country-soul artist hit the stage.

During that performance, KP and his five piece band rolled through various selections from the album and also sang his rendition of the classic hit “Cruisin” by Smokey Robinson. The legendary performer and former Motown Record Executive was so impressed by KP’s version of the song that he soon collaborated with KP on a country version and appeared on KP’s “Cruisin” video that is currently posted on YouTube.
