Kip Moore’s “I’m To Blame” Debuts

KIP MOORE RELEASES “I’M TO BLAME”

FROM FORTHCOMING SOPHOMORE ALBUM

Lead Single Hits Digital Retailers TODAY

And Sets Path For Moore’s Next Project

Kip Moore doesn’t mind admitting when he’s wrong and the ACM “New Artist of the Year” nominee proves just that with his lead single “I’m To Blame.”  The song is available at digital retailers now and is the second most added song this week at country radio, marking Moore’s biggest first week for a new single.  The song features Moore’s signature raspy voice over a driving back beat highlighted with a rolling banjo.  Moore wrote the song with Justin Weaver and Westin Davis, and the refreshingly honest lyrics are personal for the multi-platinum selling artist.

“I’ve learned that sometimes when you’re in a relationship, especially if you’re trying to keep the relationship, it’s better just to admit that something was your fault so everybody can move on,” said Moore.  “I thought that sort of truth-telling was a good way to set the tone for the new album.  I’m excited about the new path we’re taking for this next record.   I have written so many songs over the past two years, and I really had to step back and look at all of them and make some hard decisions about what would make the album and what would get cut.  It has turned out to be a totally different record than the one I set out recording, and I think a better one.”

The MCA Nashville singer/songwriter capped off last year by winning “Breakthrough Artist Of The Year” at the American Country Countdown Awards on FOX and notched two PLATINUM certifications with “Hey Pretty Girl” selling over 1 million and “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck” earning DOUBLE PLATINUM status.  Moore’s sold-out headlining CMT ON TOUR: UP IN SMOKE garnered high praise for his “high energy set” (Rolling Stone) with Minneapolis Tribune declaring him a “country music contender” and Chicago Sun Times noting he is “carving his own niche in country music.”  This summer, Moore will hit the road with Dierks Bentley for his 2015 Sounds of Summer Tour.  He is currently nominated for “New Artist of the Year” at this year’s ACM Awards, fan voting is open now through Feb. 10 at voteacm.com and VoteACM.CMT.com. Moore’s sophomore album will be released later this year.
